My photography is deeply personal—a reflection of my bipolar life and inner world. This book captures my happiest days, the ones I live for, when creative energy surges. Based in Oslo, Norway, I’vefocused this edition on the tram’s motion, infused with my unique twist. My journey started in portrait and wedding photography, shifted to wildlife, and now embraces abstraction. Overthree years, I’ve honed this style, pushing in-camera techniques to their limits—no Photoshop, no AI. I’m aphotographer, true and through. The images here are part of a limited edition print series, offered in four sizes, capped at 30 prints per artwork. My art mirrors my life: a rollercoaster of emotion, light, shadow, and motion. What hangs on your wall isn’t just avisual—it’s a piece of that journey. Future editions will delve into my darker side and mixed emotions.Douglas CarrWelcome to Manic

Thank you for buying Manic, my first edition in a series of limited edition fine art photo books.Life has been really challenging before and since I was diagnosed with Bipolar in 2019. I lost my then newly launchedphoto safari business and everything I owned — including all my camera equipment — due to a combination of mentalhealth struggles and the pandemic.I returned to Norway in 2021 and bought my first camera again in 2023. Although I was transitioning into wildlifefilmmaking, once back in Oslo — where there’s no wildlife — I had to figure out what to film or photograph. I soon fellback in love with photography as I started to experiment with abstract urban architecture and street photography.I was once a portrait, wedding, and wildlife photographer, but I think I’ve now found my true passion. Pushing theboundaries of what’s possible with in-camera techniques and limited editing gives me the most joy. Now, the nextstep is to share my creative expressions with the world. All of the images are part of a Limited Edition series — only 30prints per artwork — and photo books like this.Thank you once again for supporting me in my journey to become financially independent through photography. Please follow me on your social media platform of choice and subscribe to my email list to be notified of futurepublications and discount promo codes.
